Many of our W Dental - Fresno team members have been caring for Fresno families for several years, creating wholesome and positive relationships with patients and looking out for their best interests. We invite you to get to know some of the friendly faces that you’ll see around our dental office by reading our team biographies below.
Nyove, Dental Assistant
Nyove graduated from Fresno Pacific University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, and it was during her junior year that she took a course where she briefly learned about the oral cavity and tooth anatomy. This was extremely interesting to her, and now she’s excited to work in our dental office and be surrounded by a staff that is just as passionate as she is.
A Fresno native, Nyove enjoys spending quality time with her fiancé, laughing and creating memories. Her dog, Bentley, keeps her active and young, and they go on walks and runs, play fetch, and love being outside together. On the weekends, she looks forward to seeing her mom, getting cozy on the couch, and binge-watching scary movies because they can’t get through them without one another!
Stacy, Office Manager
Stacy says that everyone she interacts with at the office feels like an extended member of her family, including both our patients and her fellow staff. She graduated from SJVC Fresno in 2010 and received the Founder's Award, the top achievement possible for students. She then worked as a dental assistant for five years before going back to SJVC to teach and later became the Program Director for the dental department. She eventually realized how much she missed working directly with patients and decided to return to the field.
Stacy is married to the most amazing husband, Rene, and they have been together for over a decade. They have two kids that are currently in college. She loves to spend time with the “FamBam” as much as possible. During her downtime, she likes to take the boat out to the lake for some good fishing or go for a stroll through some antique shops.
Sam, Registered Dental Hygienist
“Sam” says that working in our office is a joy because she has the opportunity to get to know our amazing patients and help them achieve their dental goals every single day. She completed her dental training at San Joaquin Valley College and has done a lot of continuing education focused on sleep apnea treatment.
Sam is originally from Tehran, Iran, and she is married with two kids and a dog. When she isn’t taking care of her 40(!) indoor plants, she likes to stay active by attending Barre classes, skiing, and going on hikes. Of course, much of her free time is dedicated to taking her children to their various sports and activities.
Shelby, Registered Dental Hygienist
Shelby finds it fulfilling to connect with our patients and motivate them to care deeply about their oral hygiene and health, empowering them to take great care of themselves between appointments. She graduated from Fresno City College with a degree in dental hygiene and is certified in diode laser treatment. She also takes many continuing education classes to stay up to date on the latest advancements and procedures.
At home, Shelby has a wonderful husband, two sons, and two fur babies (dogs) waiting for her. You’ll often find her playing Legos and Hotwheels with her children, making mud pies, and visiting farmers’ markets as well as trying new restaurants because she is a big foodie.
